Independent Bookstore Week Matching Gift Campaign April 25–May 2, 2026

This Independent Bookstore Week, every purchase from the Prison Library Project's wishlist on Bookshop.org will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $1,000, by a generous donor with a long commitment to books, prison literacy, and programs like ours.

That means a $20 book becomes $40 worth of reading for someone who really needs it. A $50 purchase puts $100 worth of carefully chosen books into the hands of people who often have no other access to them.

The books on our wishlist aren't random — they're the titles our readers ask for most. Hard-to-fill requests, educational resources, and books that are genuinely difficult for us to source through donations. When you shop the wishlist, you're filling real gaps for real people.
