"Words Are Worth A Thousand Pictures," by Michael Gougis

Without context, images are two-dimensional, with so much left unsaid. Images can - and should - ignite discussions, conversations, ruminations. The story behind the image, the emotions they invoke in the creator, the insights they inspire, those add a third dimension to what is seen. In this exhibit, the artist shares the thoughts behind images captured in Claremont, the Middle East and across Europe. 

Michael Gougis is a Claremont resident, an author, an award-winning professional journalist and photographer and a professor of media studies.
