About The Event
Join the Claremont Forum on Saturday, December 10 for a special concert/fundraiser for the Prison Library Project. Acclaimed musician, John York, returns to the Claremont Forum for an evening of music. Tickets are limited (only 35 seats) and we expect them to sell out early, so don't wait to reserve your seats. Tickets go on sale November 19. If you are unable to attend (or have already purchased tickets!) please consider making a donation to this event. 100% of donations will go directly to the Prison Library Project (PLP). The PLP sends books and educational materials to incarcerated men and women nationwide.
JOHN YORK is a singer, composer, guitarist, and former member of the Byrds. He also played with the Sir Douglas Quintet (with Dr. John,) The Mamas and The Papas, Johnny Rivers, Lightning Hopkins, Gene Clark, Rick Danko, Richard Manuel, Nicky Hopkins, David Carradine and Barry McGuire.
“John York is an authentic example of how one musician can carry a legacy of spirit, truth, compassion and wisdom that continues to grow through his musical expressions. Not only has he survived the perilous rock & roll days of the 60s, he has thrived and transcended them.” Terry Roland (L.A Folk Works)
